SHOWDOWN as CAR rebels seize cities, demand resignation of President Bozize;...

As Central African Republic rebels (Séléka Alliance) captured two more towns over the weekend and prospects of this Tuesday January 8, 2013 peace talks grow dim under the umbrella of the regional bloc CEEAC between the rebels and President Francois Bozize. Eric Massi, a Paris-based spokesman for the rebels, has said that for the CAR to achieve peace and move forward, "Bozize's departure is non-negotiable."
