South Africa’s 2009 economic growth fall 2.0%
South Africa’s economy will likely contract by around 2 percent this year, Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan has said.
“In South Africa we were doing quite well as a modest economy with an average growth of about 5 percent in the last five years. For this year we’ll probably be closer to minus 2 percent, we’ll let you know next week,” Gordhan said at a United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative conference 2009.
