4 killed in bomb blast in Kaduna, northern Nigeria; governorship election postponed

KADUNA, Nigeria: At least four people were killed and many others injured in northern Nigeria’s Kaduna state when a bomb explosion rocked the Rafin Guza area of state on Friday.
The bombing occurred in spite of the subsisting curfew imposed on the state on Monday following the outbreak of post-election violence.A Xinhua reporter in the state said he saw four dead bodies whose skin was torn into shreds by the impact of the blast. The reporter said the explosion which occurred near the Legislators Quarters, threw the entire neighborhood into panic and confusion as residents scampered to safety.
He added that anti-bomb disposal security agents were immediately deployed to the scene of the bomb blast to detonate any other unexploded bomb that may have been left in the vicinity.
State police spokesperson Aminu Lawal told to Xinhua that the police have arrested two suspects in connection with the bomb blast on Friday evening. Lawal said the incident occurred at about 7:00 p.m. local time (1800GMT) at Rafin Guza, a suburb of Kaduna, adding that bomb detectives and other security agencies were combing the area as part of their investigation.
This is the fourth bomb blast that has occurred in the state in less than a month.
Last Saturday, shortly after the conduct of the presidential election, bomb blasts occurred in two different parts of the state between two and a half hours interval. ref: Xinhua
