Anambra Women in USA hold annual ‘Walk for Hope’, First Lady Obiano is invited Grand Marshal

USAfrica: Anambra State Association Women in USA annual Walk for Hope will hold on Saturday, April 26, 2014, 9 am at the Glenn Dale Community Center, opposite the Glenn Dale Fire Station in Maryland.
In an interview with USAfricaonline.com and CLASSmagazine
Houston, the national President of ASA-Women USA Dr. Mrs. Anthonia Uche Umeh said that the Walk for Hope “raises awareness for breast, cervical and prostate cancer and we are advocating for early detection. The key is education, and with it you can beat cancer.”
She added in a statement signed with the organization’s Secretary Mrs. Josephine O. Onor that they expect the “anticipated participation” of the First Lady of Anambra State Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu V. Obiano. She has been invited to be the “grand marshal.”
The association called on “Ndi Anambra to come out to cheer and support the First Lady in her first official duty in the USA.”
USAfrica notes that this is the third Walk for Hope event by the group. It will be followed in June with a medical mission. By Chido Nwangwu
