Senator Ned Nwoko has denied allegations of domestic violence made by his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, after a viral video surfaced showing her distressed and claiming she was suffering abuse in their marriage.
In a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, October 19, 2025, the lawmaker accused Regina of struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, saying her addiction had caused major problems in their relationship.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,”
Nwoko wrote in a statement titled ‘Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage And Rampage In My House And In My Absence’.
He alleged that while he was away, Regina became violent and destructive, assaulting members of his staff and damaging property.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,”
he stated.
According to Nwoko, he had offered to arrange rehabilitation for Regina, either in Asokoro or abroad — including Jordan — where she would not have access to drugs.
He further claimed that Regina had threatened a nurse who allegedly exposed her drug use, and named two individuals, Sammy and Ann, whom he accused of supplying her with illegal substances.
The senator’s post included a video showing damaged cars and windows within his residence.
The controversy began after a viral video surfaced of Regina Daniels tearfully saying:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house I am nothing, but in my own house I am a Queen. Not again, I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Her brother later reacted on Instagram, accusing the senator of physically assaulting her and promising to defend her.
As of the time of this report, Regina Daniels has not yet responded publicly to her husband’s claims.
