Nigeria elects new Speaker of Federal House of Reps: Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (PDP North-West)

A new man is in charge of Nigeria’s Federal House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal (PDP North-West). He emerged as the new Speaker of the House after major shifts in the alliances and zoning positions of the PDP. 

He defeated Muraina Ajibola (PDP South West) with 261 votes, another major blow to one of former President Obasanjo’s candidates.
