Buhari picks Babachir Lawal as Secretary to Govt, Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has approved key appointments with effect from today, August 27, 2015. Top on the list is Babachir D. Lawal as Secretary to the Government of the Federation; from Adamawa State.
Abba Kyari, a technocrat, takes charge as Chief of Staff to the President. He is from Borno State. Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd.) moves in as the Comptroller-General, Nigerian Customs Service while Kure Abeshi becomes Comptroller-General, Nigerian Immigration Service. He’s from Nasarawa State.
Appointed to offer liason on legislative issues is Senator Ita S.J. Enang – SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and Hon. Suleiman A. Kawu – SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
