The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has taken the critical and influential position of his country’s petroleum resources minister.
Also, as the countdown to the announcement of new ministers enters its final, last day of September 2015, Femi Adesina, the special adviser (media and publicity) to the President of Nigeria (Muhammadu Buhari) has said that the days and weeks of speculation will be over in a few hours.
In his brief chat on Monday September 28, 2015, with the Founder & Publisher of USAfrica Chido Nwangwu, the presidential spokesman was asked to offer insight to what “could reflect any unique composition of the new cabinet”; Adesina responded, politely, that “we will all have to wait and see.”
The list of ministers will be published here at USAfricaonline.com on Wednesday.

An Open Letter to President Buhari on the Occasion of Nigeria’s 55th Independence.
Mr. President, thank you for your well-articulated goodwill message on the occasion of our country’s 55th Independence anniversary from Britain. We all know that your problem would be how to cope with the citizens high expectations, especially, after 16 years of inept administrations, saddled with complex climate of corruption. That, you have properly and adequately addressed in your message yesterday.
Nigeria, as a country, has not fared well in her 55 years of independence. However, the Nigerians hope, todays hinges on two things;
a) Our unbridled faith in God;
b) The accompanying discipline and body language the name Buhari alone brings to the Administration;
to avoid the betrayal of trust that the Nigerian people have wholesomely given you, this administration’s war with corruption, must start with the Judiciary. The Independence of the judiciary without outside influence, is imperative for it to discharge its duty to the Nigerian nation. It is an essential tool that will strengthen our democracy. This is because our culpable politicians sanctuarize with judges, whom they give billions of stolen public funds to keep stolen mandates or to safeguard their loots. Give the Judiciary the same model of Independence as the Israeli government does. This way, the election cases with various tribunals across the nation will see justice at the end of the day. Particular laser spotlight, should shine on Abia State cases, where stolen mandates ranging from House Assembly, Senates and Gubernatorial races are at play with rumors of illegal monetary maneuverings involving the Tribunal Judges.
We applaud you for commemorating this year’s Independence celebration with only Seventy Million Naira (N70, 000,000.00) whereas, in the past same has been celebrated with fifteen billions of Naira. This shows fiscal responsibility and limited government. Thanks you Mr. President. Take your time and stay focused in putting together an assemblage of an effective team to get the job done. Nigeria, undoubtedly is on the path to greatness!

There is nothing new Buhari has to offer.making himself oil minister is merely to dispense favours and largesse to whom or groups he pleases.its not for transparency.
How convenient “executive power to the core” where are the other arms of government?
The best ministry for Buhari to head is ministry of education to enable sharpen his English.
Hahahahaha
Autocratic efulefu. One man show. He has pocketed Nigeria. He is the only good man standing others are corrupt. Mr Saint. When you are called to give account you find excuse just like in the PTF . Mteew
hhhmmmn
Good decision!
….though I stand to be corrected, I’m not sure the constitution recognizes such proclamation; at most he could relegate the ministry of petroleum as temporary under the presidency (and not identifying himself as a minister)…that is the only logical way he could pull this off….
Is this legal?
This president is not making sense here
Only in Africa can one man be the president and minister same time. What a shame
