Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has responded to recent allegations by her estranged partner, Senator Ned Nwoko, who claimed that her family and friends influenced her alleged drug use and recovery process.
In a series of Instagram posts on Sunday, November 9, 2025, Daniels accused Nwoko of “lying openly without remorse” and attempting to use her personal struggles to manipulate public perception.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this,” she wrote in one of several posts, reportedly drafted on November 9, 2025. “You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason.”
The actress admitted to having used drugs but rejected Nwoko’s claim that it was the root cause of their troubled relationship.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media,” she said, accusing the senator of trying to isolate her from her loved ones.
Daniels further alleged that Nwoko had sought to control and manipulate her by targeting those closest to her.
“You want to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me, no friend, no support, no safe place to turn to,” she continued. “Then when I’m completely broken, you expect me to come back to you. That has always been your strategy—break people down, make them weak, and then have your way with them.”
In another post, the actress alleged that Nwoko encouraged her drug use for sexual purposes and accused him of both physical and psychological abuse.
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high,” she wrote. “Why don’t you tell them how you force yourself on me whenever I say no? Or how you lock me up, seize my phones, and call me ‘mentally unstable’ whenever I say I no longer want this relationship.”
Daniels also claimed that Nwoko limited her communication with her family and allegedly coerced doctors into injecting her with drugs meant for patients with bipolar disorder.
“You take my phones for weeks because you hate that I talk to my family a lot. Stop using the ‘drugs’ narrative to distract people,” she said.
The actress further stated that her relationship with Nwoko was never legally recognized, asserting that no marriage documents were ever signed.
“For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you.”
Daniels concluded her posts by expressing regret that her private life had become public controversy.
“I just feel so ashamed that all these had to come out in the messiest way,” she wrote.
As of press time, Senator Nwoko has not publicly responded to Regina Daniels’ allegations.
