Grammys 2026: South African star Tyla beats Davido, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy

South African music superstar Tyla has, again, won the ‘Best African Music Performance’ award — at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Tyla’s song ‘‘Push 2 Start’, beat Burna Boy’s ‘Love’, Davido’s ‘With You’ featuring Omah Lay, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid’s ‘Gimme Dat’. The other artistes who lost to Tyla are Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin’s ‘Hope & Love’.

The category was introduced in 2024 to expand the platforms to spotlight African music and its stars..
