Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing the Osun East Senatorial District, has complied with a police invitation following a controversial statement he made during a recent political gathering. The senator arrived at the Osun police headquarters in Osogbo on August 12.
During an address to his supporters from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fadahunsi made remarks urging his followers to ‘kill’ members of the rival Accord Party if encountered during the upcoming gubernatorial election. His statement quickly went viral, prompting widespread outrage on social media.
In light of the backlash, Fadahunsi has denied making the comments, claiming they were taken out of context and asserting that the circulating video was manipulated using AI technology.
