During preliminary testimony, a prosecution investigator said Howard-Taylor communicated with alleged cartel figures and received US$15,000 on August 17, 2020. The investigator further alleged that an audio recording contains statements attributed to Howard-Taylor concerning plans to assassinate former President George Weah, though the recording in question has not yet been played in court.
Howard-Taylor’s legal team has repeatedly denied all charges against her.
