Three individuals have been reported killed following an attack by armed assailants at Yan Gwari Market in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The victims have been identified as Nanker Andrew, Delshak Jacob, and Jessica Thomas.
In addition to the fatalities, five other persons, including Polina Colis, Gloria Fwanshak, Sekyen Lonkat, and Bamret Thomas, are currently receiving medical attention as a result of the incident.
During the attack, one Abdul Muhammad was confronted by the perpetrators as they retreated through the Kwata area of the market and the water board axis.
The motives behind the attack and the identity of the gunmen remain unclear, while authorities are working to verify the casualty figures and the condition of the injured.
