Olujuwon Obasanjo, son of former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, has officially joined the PBat Door-to-Door Movement as a special adviser on political affairs. During his visit to the movement’s headquarters in Abuja, he pledged his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
In a guided tour of the movement’s facility, Obasanjo expressed his intent to contribute to the movement’s goals and to the continuity of Tinubu’s administration. He praised the organization’s outreach efforts and its commitment to improving community life and promoting government initiatives.
Obasanjo emphasized the significant progress under Tinubu’s leadership, citing advancements in salary payments, infrastructure, and investment opportunities. He called on Nigerians, particularly the youth, to rally behind the President to sustain and build upon these achievements.
Having been a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2014, Obasanjo noted his family’s tradition of allowing independent political views without conflict. He reminisced about his past meetings with his father, former President Muhammadu Buhari, and President Tinubu regarding the APC’s formation.
Sunday Adekanbi, National Coordinator of the PBat Door-to-Door Movement, welcomed Obasanjo, highlighting his extensive political experience and potential to enhance the organization’s efforts across Nigeria. He expressed confidence that Obasanjo’s involvement would further the movement’s objectives and contribute to Nigeria’s growth.
It’s noteworthy that Olujuwon Obasanjo’s father has publicly opposed President Tinubu, and his sister is contesting a senatorial seat with the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
