Security forces from Sector 3 of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have detained two individuals suspected of involvement in kidnapping activities. The arrests took place during a search-and-rescue mission in the Dong general area of Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The suspects, Cuthber Tapgun and Sani Alhassan, were taken into custody at around 11:30 a.m. on November 4, 2026. The operation was part of ongoing efforts by the military to tackle the rising incidents of kidnapping, dismantle criminal networks, and enhance security in the region.
Currently, the two suspects are undergoing investigations to ascertain their alleged roles in kidnapping incidents and to identify any possible accomplices.
