tennis match in Johannesburg in November 2012, USAfricaonline.com has learned.

“We’re extremely excited to be coming to South Africa”, Venus affirmed in a statement about the events which will take them to the great Mandela’s country

The November schedule will also see a first: Venus and Serena will play against each other for the first time in Africa.

She added that  “After Serena’s gold medal at the (2012) Olympics, her win at Wimbledon and now the US Open too, I look forward to taking my younger sister on in this exhibition tennis match.”

A second aspect of the visit will be the launch of the “Breaking the Mould” women’s campaign by the WIlliams’ sisters. Serena said they are very optimistic about the trip, noting “We hope we can help inspire South Africa’s young women to break the mould too.”
