The west African country of Cameroon will make their first appearance this noon (11am U.S CST) at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. They are taking on the skillful country of Mexico.
The game also seems a clash of two of the countries’ biggest stars; Oribe Peralta of Mexico and Cameroon’s superstar center forward Samuel Eto’o. Samuel is famous from his performances at Chelsea in the English Premier League, his artistry at Barcelona and Inter Milan. Also, from Cameroon is one of Barcelona’s stars Alex Song.
It’s truly any sides game but I’ll predict Cameroon as likely winner….
The world’s most watched sports/entertainment event, the FIFA soccer world cup kicked off on Thursday June 12, 2014 in Brazil. There are teams from the usual favorites Brazil, Argentina, Spain to the surprise makers from Africa: Cameroon Ghana, Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire. (Update: Brazil 3, Croatia 1).
It will be the most social media spotlighted event, far beyond other major events such as the very popular basketball hosted by the NBA. USAfricaonline, com and our blogs-egroups will report results as they come.
