As the world’s leading researchers and epidemiology specialists continue to seek a cure for the deadly coronavirus, the U.S. death toll from the virus is expected  to reach 17,000, this weekend of Easter, USAfricaonline.com has learned. Also, New York reported its highest single-day death toll yet. Overall, more than 470,000 confirmed cases are in the U.S.

Remarkably, most of the dead and infected are African-Americans.

According to Johns Hopkins University, the virus has infected more than 1.6 million worldwide, killing almost 96,000.

The combination of very high death toll and the realities of the lockdowns on   social gatherings have compelled christians to observe a very somber Easter 2020.
