The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) is urging for a coordinated approach using data-driven solutions to tackle the deficit in rice production across the country. As part of their initiative, the NGF has established a specialized data department known as the Helpdesk.
Mr. Shittu highlighted the importance of each state establishing its own Bureau of Statistics to support this initiative. By fostering localized data collection, the NGF aims to better understand agricultural needs and improve overall rice production efficiency.
