Dr. Sir Uchegbulem Aloysius Eze, has become the first Patron of the Peoples Club of Nigeria International (PCNI), by the fact of his installation in Nigeria on Saturday December 12, 2009. The colorful and history-making event was a roll-call of who is who in the PCNI and the local Nigerian chapters of the club.
It held in his cozy and stately home in Alaike-Ikenanzizi Obowu in Imo State of Nigeria.
Eze’s patronship event received an exclusive international coverage by USAfrica and CLASSmagazine (Nigeria bureau).
The compelling, professional pictures of the event are already on the African community’s #1 events and pictorial features mega-site, www.PhotoWorks.TV
CLASSmagazine ace photo editor (in Nigeria) Agbo Agara shot the pictures.
In a brief chat on January 1, 2010, following his return to Houston from the patronship installation, Chief Eze, a doctor of pharmacology and former chairman of the Houston chapter of the Peoples Club told USAfrica, CLASSmagazine and IgboEvents e-group: “I’m in deep appreciation of the leadership and members of the Peoples Club inside and outside Nigeria who supported and made this special honor possible. It’s a new call to duty and service from a great club. I promise to do my best.”
His ever-radiant wife, Lady Ngozi Eze who was with him at the December 12, 2009 event in Nigeria flew back to Houston a few days earlier than Dr. Eze. She successfully hosted, to the delight of the honoree, a special returning home reception starting from the George Bush International airport in Houston. Some of their close friends and well-wishers were at their home to welcome her husband.
At home in Nigeria and upon his return to his base in the greater Houston metropolis on December 31, 2009, Eze who I think is also congenitally lively and relentlessly sociable, continues to live up to his zesty and sometimes controversial reputation. He’s made of the stuff of leadership. Evidently, Dr. Uche Eze is a man of modest physical stature with the social presence of a giant.
