USAfricaonline.com: Anambra governorship “elections” turn into tales of chaos, voters list fiasco
Field reports from USAfricaonline.com, IgboEvents and USAfrica correspondents and independent observers of the February 6, 2010 elections in Anambra State of Nigeria have left one dominant conclusion: the 2010 Anambra “elections” turn into stories of disruption, late starts at various polling stations, incidents of thuggery and violence, tales of chaos, voters list fiasco, and more.
Missing names of key figures in the state’s final voters’ register including those of former Vice President of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, and family members of some governorship candidates, INEC logistic complications and inadequacies, among other factors have added to the woes and credibility issues following the one-state only elections.
