Algerian President Bouteflika sworn in for 4th term, sitting on wheel-chair

USAfrica: Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has been sworn in, again, as president on Monday for a fourth term in office.
His oath was taken in Nation’s Palace in western Algiers with the embattled Bouteflika sitting on a [wheel chair] with his right hand on the holly Quran. It was administered in Arabic by the President of the Supreme Court.
Following disputes over the outcome and fairness of the election, the Constitutional Council ruled that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, 77, won re-election in the April 17, 2014 voting.
Bouteflika first became president since 1999. His third term saw him battle with several health problems where he was treated in Paris. After the ulceration of his to mach and a surgery in 2005, and a stroke in April 2013, he was rumored to have died.
Algeria, the north African country, has seen more loosening of its traditional Islamic social attitudes.
