The build up to the 2015 elections continues to bring out all manner of outlandish and crazy allegations across Nigeria’s political landscape — especially in Imo State.
The peddlers of assorted lies and wicked insinuations in Imo State have found a new target in the person of Sir Jude Ejiogu, the current Chief Of Staff & Commissioner for Special Duties.
For doing his work, creditably, they have set upon him through incessant, malicious media attacks.
It is very important to note that these people have no iota of evidence to back up their allegation that Sir Ejiogu squandered N1billion of the Imo State Pension Fund!!! As the wise saying admonishes us “Silence they say is the best answer to a fool.” But not in politics. Especially, in rare cases like this orchestrated campaign of character assassination of a public servant perpetuated by some political yet unmasked individuals. It is reasonable to clear the air before unnecessary lies build up against the savvy, fast rising administrator Sir Jude Ejiogu.
However, it is such a shame some politicians rather than work hard to improve their social values, political qualities or better the lives of their immediate society as a test-run for elective positions resort to outdated use of media wars and incessant accusations and propaganda as a tool for political elevation.
Blinding the masses with lies aiming to stir up unnecessary tension against the very popular, go-getting, high value, principled, upright political achiever- Sir Jude Ejiogu.
The very first man in Imo State’s history to hold the positions of the Chief of Staff and Commissioner For Special Duties at once. Having acquired a lot of banking experience in the past, Sir Jude Ejiogu has positively impacted the Imo state Internal Revenue Generation, rising as the Special Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of internal Revenue of the state. Even from chairman Local Government service commission to the Chief of staff of the state. And like that was not enough achieving responsibilities in such a short period, His Excellency, Gov. Rochas Okorocha added more to the relentlessly hard-working, experienced and result-oriented Sir Jude Ejiogu.
By all indications, Gov. Okorocha would not for any reason favour or elevate Sir Jude Ejiogu if he was not up to all administrative standards. When people get blessed for their hard work and uprightness just like Sir Jude Ejiogu, enemies pop up from all angle to take away the fruit of their labour by publishing lies of all magnitude.
Who would not find his profile threatening? Who would not envy this administrative achiever and fast rising figure of Sir Jude Ejiogu?
It is more a shame when people rather than join him to thank God for the favours upon his fast rising career, enemies resort to envy, backbiting and malicious lies.
Ejiogu is one of the major pillars of Okorocha’s Rescue Mission Agenda. Yet, the accusation against Sir Jude Ejiogu of looting a whooping N1billion LG pension funds should not be taken lightly by every patriotic Imolite as it is a slap on the whole Rescue Mission Agenda of Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Ejiogu’s likely opponents have kept on repeating “this same man is jostling to represent Owerri Zone in elective position in 2015”
It is a clear signal where the attack is coming from and what it is aimed at achieving.
It is time low-character politicians found a way to improve on their profiles and popularity than run the Sir Jude Ejiogu down. Even the famous Nigerian Musician- 2face Idibia said “who God has Blessed, No Man can Curse!”
Amidst these whole unpleasant and baseless accusations, Sir Jude Ejiogu has kept his focus on his countless responsibilities which are too many to even allow him give an ear to the distractors.
Finally, we need to remind every Christian of the Joseph story in the Bible. Having been sold to slavery by his brothers who were all envious of their father’s exceptional favour towards Joseph.
Even more similar as it could get with the scenario of the favoured Sir Jude Ejiogu.
We all know the story of how Potiphar’s wife tried to make Joseph commit the most abominable sin yet when he refused and rejected the offer, she turned against him with accusation of the same sin he refused to commit.
Let the enlightened and wonderful people of Imo State refuse to be bamboozled by these political miscreants by ignoring their false alarms and character destruction campaigns.

@Sir Ubechi- We were brought up in Imo State. 1.Please would you mind responding to Mr.Madu’s question? 2. Are you a journalist or a publisher? 3. What are functions of a journalist? 4 What are restrictions of journalism in Nigeria and in the United States?.

Mazi P. Ubechu ,please tell us what you know about Jude Ejiogu, please as somebody on the ground in IMO State.
Chido, May I advise you as a friend to be very careful in what you publish in your magazine or newspaper , especially political matters in Nigeria,if you still want your readers to take you serious. You are not from Imo State, neither do you live in Nigeria. You are not in a position to defend Jude because you know nothing about him. Why don’t you allow him to defend himself if he feels wrongly accused?
