In his final months, Jorge Messi spent time alternating between a medical center and his home, with his family—wife Celia, and children Rodrigo, Matías, and María Sol—by his side. Lionel Messi had visited his father after the World Cup before returning to his club, Inter Miami.
The Argentinian football club, Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys, acknowledged Jorge’s death through a social media post, honoring him as a key figure in Messi’s career development and personal life. The post highlighted his vision, dedication, and support, co-managed alongside his wife, Celia Cuccittini.
