Friends and family gathered in Lagos for the traditional wedding of Otutochi ‘Tochi’ Wigwe, the eldest daughter of the late banking executive Herbert Wigwe. The ceremony took place in a private setting where both families celebrated the union of Tochi and her partner, Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu.
The event featured several cultural traditions, including the payment of the bride price, signing of family contracts, and a formal handover of Tochi to her husband’s family. Wilson Aikhomu is an investment professional based in Lagos, holding the position of Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Zoya Admiralty. He is related to notable figures, being the son of late Rear Admiral Joseph Omozuwa Aikhomu and the nephew of former Chief of General Staff Admiral Augustus Aikhomu.
This marriage signifies a new chapter for 28-year-old Tochi, who currently leads the HOW Foundation, a legacy of her father. Tragically, Tochi’s father, mother, and older brother Chizi passed away in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, 2024.
