The Office of the Presidency in South Africa has dismissed speculations circulating on social media pertaining to the health and hospitalization of President Cyril Ramaphosa in Pretoria.
The conjecture about President Ramaphosa’s well-being arose following his non-participation in a recent African National Congress (ANC) meeting held in Mpumalanga province. The ANC attributed his absence to an unspecified “emergency.”
In response to the growing rumors, Vincent Magwenya, the spokesperson for the presidency, took to social media to provide clarification. Magwenya unequivocally stated that President Ramaphosa is in good health, has not been admitted to any medical facility, and no emergency situation transpired.
Furthermore, Magwenya emphasized that the President opted to spend the day at home, engaged in preparations for an upcoming busy week. He categorically dismissed the circulating rumors as “malicious” and urged the public to rely on accurate information from official sources.
