LOS ANGELES, April 30 – A collision between a Los Angeles Metro train and a shuttle bus in the city’s Exposition Park area has resulted in at least 55 people being injured, with two individuals in serious condition, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around noon when a University of Southern California bus was struck by the Metro train. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that in addition to the two individuals in serious condition, 16 others were transported to nearby hospitals in fair condition, while at least 37 were treated at the scene and subsequently released.
Reports from local media indicate that there were approximately 150 passengers on board the train at the time of the collision.
Following the incident, emergency responders worked swiftly to attend to the injured and manage the situation. The train involved in the collision was subsequently removed from the scene and transported back to the rail yard.
