USAfrica BrkNEWS… People Power in north AFRICA: Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali (since 1987 TO 2011) runs AWAY as Prime Minister Mohamed takes over as interim president.
The Prime Minister has stated earlier this evening in Tunis that: “Based on constitution law No. 56, if the president of the republic cannot fulfill his duties, there will be an interim decision to move his executive powers to the prime minister…. Considering the fact that at the current time he (Ben Ali) cannot fulfill his duties, I take over today, the powers of the president of the republic.”
Ali ruled with an iron-fist and had a corrupt network of family and associates who misused Tunisia’s resources.
USAfrica monitoring of the events indicate that the “interim” may be short-lived… Reports and updates on www.USAfricaonline.com THE AUTHORITATIVE LINK. 1-832-45-CHIDO (24436). e-mail: News@USAfricaonline.com
